The Lubbock Master Gardeners and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Lubbock County are hosting an Earth-Kind Landscape Design and Water Conservation workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 48th Street and Salem Avenue. The city will hire David Volz Design for $31,912 to design a variety of landscape and architecture recommendations for the 21-acre stretch of land.
